Development Plan

What will the garden look like next year? In 2020? How will we secure the necessary resources to ensure we can bring project plans to fruition? These questions will be addressed in our development plan, a living document which will evolve as the program grows and changes. Below is an outline that will serve as the basic framework for now.

Garden Construction

Phase 1
  1. Sketch garden layout
  2. Obtain materials
  3. Build the first raised beds
  4. create informational signage and post
Phase 2
  1. Add additional raised beds
  2. Incorporate peripheral areas along chain-link fence
  3. Add fence on Z-wing side if vandalism has been a problem
  4. Add a more permanent storage structure to the main garden
Phase 3
  1. Develop plans to expand and diversify main garden (advanced compost setup, chicken coop, etc.)
  2. Scout for sites to create additional gardens
  3. Draw up plans for additional gardens

Outdoor Lab Construction

Phase 1
  1. Set up seating for 30 students
  2. Secure a storage space for outdoor lab equipment
Phase 2
